Living Jewish Values

Our tradition requires us “to do justice and to love goodness” (Micah 6:8). To be a Reform Jew is not only to partake in community and nurture the next generation, but to do good in the world. For more than a century, the URJ has organized and empowered Reform Jews to serve as activists for causes just and democratic. Driven by Jewish values, we have stood at the forefront of our nation’s greatest struggles for equality, from the civil rights movement to family separation at the border. Today, our work continues, in North America and in Israel, as we strive to create a world of justice, compassion, and wholeness.
